Presented is a 1941 Pittsburgh Pirates scorecard which features (16) signatures including a trio of Hall of Famers in Honus Wagner (surname only), Frankie Frisch and Arky Vaughan. A variety of other difficult signatures also grace this 14x10 two-page gatefold program. The Bucs took a break from their rigorous 1941 campaign to play an exhibition game against their pony league affiliate London Pirates. Unlike most exhibition games played in the current day, the parent club Pirates brought most of their big name players. The signatories penned the cover of the program in what appears to be a dark fountain pen. Included endorsers are Anderson (d.1985, 8), Baker (d.2006, "8"), R. Collins (d.1970, "9"), V. DiMaggio (d.1986, 7), Elliott (d.1966, "6"), Fletcher (d.1994, "7"), Flowers (d.1962, "8"), Frisch (d.1973, 8), Garms (d.1984, "8"), Handley (d.1970, "8"), Klinger (d.1977, "7"), Stewart (d.2000, "9"), Vaughan (d.1952, "8"), Wagner (d.1955, "8", surname only) and a pair of unidentified signatures. The inner scorecard is unmarked and appears to have been folded in half. However, none of the wear adversely affects these mostly clean autographs. This impressive pre-war scorecard comes with a COA from James Spence Authentications.
