Although the 1935 Braves were such a bad team that they lost an exhibition game to the Arthur Fisher Shoe Company, the squad might be best remembered as the final playing home for “The Bambino.” This 1935 Exhibits Four-On-One Babe Ruth is a proud swan song of the larger-than-life home run hero. Having been graded a “60” by SGC, Ruth shares the spotlight with teammates Walter Berger, Ed Brandt and Frank Hogan. This blank-backed beauty reveals only negligible corner wear and appears at the peak of the assigned grade. Most vintage baseball collectors are familiar with the Goudey Four-On-One Ruth from the same year. However, this Exhibit is an equally fine remembrance of a legend who permanently transformed baseball.
