Distributed in the Roxbury, Massachusetts area, the 1916 Ferguson Bakery BF2 felts are considered by many collectors to be one of the most attractive issues of the era. These triangular pennants measure approximately 6 long and depict some of these greatest baseballers ever to grace the diamond. This 1916 Ferguson Bakery BF2 Walter Johnson felt is a sterling memento from the acclaimed fireballer. The purple felt variation reveals minimal surface and back soiling, while the lightly toned photograph is affixed properly and is only slightly off-center. The tip is mostly intact while an unobtrusive pinhole is visible on the upper right portion. For the type collector looking for something a little different, this obscure issue is certain to please.
