The 1960 Milwaukee Braves were the class of the National League with many of the players from the back-to-back National League champions still on the roster. The document is an agreement between the players and a baseball card company for the commercial usage of their names and pictures. The contract between the players and Robert Jaffe of Cleveland for a “Flip-Card” series ensured the players of their equal portion and subsequent royalties. There are (29) signatures with (25) players voting for and (4) players voting against the proposal. The signatures include Aaron (signed Henry), Mathews (d.2001), Spahn (d.2003), Burdette (d.2007), McMahon (d.1987), Bruton (d.1995), Covington, Lopata, Crandall, Pafko, Maye (d.2002), Giggie, Buhl (d.2001), Jay, Willey, Pizarro, Rush, Mantilla, Vernon, Roach, Trowbridge (d.1980), Rice (d.1983), Adcock (d.1999), B. Herman (d.1991, coach), Haas, Logan, F. Torre, Wyatt (d.1999, coach) and Fitzpatrick. All of the signatures are in blue ink and grade in the (“8-9”) range. There are two signatures that were crossed out under the “against” heading. This relic has been professionally framed to the overall dimensions of 16x21 and is ready for immediate display.
