Presented is an extraordinarily difficult 1953 Red Man sealed tobacco package with an original card of Hank Bauer showing. This “20 cent” soft-pack is sealed by the period tax stamp and is surrounded by a very thin piece of period cellophane. Although the cellophane is intact, it is loose and is no longer covering the right portion of the soft-pack and also reveals other tearing. On the reverse of the package is the AL #2 card of Hank Bauer. The wavy surface of the card is due to the tobacco drying out and reconstituting with the package. Otherwise, the loose Bauer grades in the (VG-EX) range with minor staining. This period Red Man artifact is perfect for the tobacciana or oddball enthusiast.
