Since the 1960s a popular medium of securing autographs has been the yellow Hall of Fame plaque cards. These pieces of ephemera couple poignant playing biographies with a tangible signed relic. Offered is a group of (20) Hall of Fame plaque cards. This group includes several tough deceased players along with a multitude of extraordinary living talent. Unless noted, each postally unused postcard is penned in blue or black ink. Signatures include Alston (d.1984, 9), Averill (d.1983, 7), Bell (d.1990, 6), Brett (7), Cronin (d.1984, 8), Dickey (d.1993, 6), Fisk (9), Hoyt (d.1984, 7, with salutation), Grimes (d.1985, 8), J. Johnson (d.1989, 7, with salutation), Marquard (d.1980, 8), McCarthy (d.1978, dated to 1966), Medwick (d.1975, 9), Murray (8), Puckett (d.2006, 8), Roush (d.1988, 7, also signed on back "9"), Ryan (9), O. Smith (10, silver ink), Winfield (10) and Yount (10). The cards themselves mostly grade (EX-MT) with some better and only a few lesser. This selection comes with an auction COA from James Spence Authentications.
