While turn-of-the-century inauguration tickets are seldom seen, finding an unused one that features an assassinated President as well as a younger Theodore Roosevelt is truly a sight to behold. Presented is just that, a full, unused 10x5 inauguration ticket for the 1901 March Fourth to Washington. With detailed engraving of the Republican running-mates and a minor quartet of light wrinkles, the ticket has survived exceptionally well given its age, size and handled nature. Accompanying the lovely ticket is the original envelope in which the ticket was mailed, displaying a Senate of the United States return address and a signature-authorized stamp from Senator Shelby Moore Cullom (d.1914, 7). A truly impressive piece of American history waiting to be proudly displayed.
