Amongst the most respected of equipment manufacturers from the late 19th century though the 20th century, the A.J. Reach Co. of Philadelphia promoted the World’s Greatest Fielders’ Glove on this vintage advertising sheet. The sheet measures 12-1/2 x 10, though the top edge features a baseball mitt seemingly jumping off the page. Marked with a 1908 copyright date on the die-cut glove and portraying the mitt style of the Teens and Twenties, the early 20th century advertisement sheet has survived magnificently with no tears, writing or obtrusive staining. The visible folds are factory-related as this sheet was sent through the mail, and barring light to moderate corner wear no blemishes will be found. Considering the age and handled yet sensitive nature, it would be very difficult to find one in finer condition.
