For fifteen seasons left-hander hurler Chris Short was a main cog in the Philadelphia Phillies rotation. The mound artisan won 20 games during the 1966 campaign and was twice named to the National League All-Star team. Offered is a trio of Chris Short signed items headlined by a game-used warm-up jacket. This vintage apparel dates to the late 1960s or early 1970s and was given by Short to our consignor, a former minor league baseball player, during a game. The size 48 red-and-white wool and leather jacket grades in the (VG-EX) range. The embroidered white Phillies logo is clean, while the button-up breast portions reveal only negligible wear. Additionally, the leather sleeves exhibit moderate soiling and wear, and the elastic collar and bottom trim also show moderate usage. The inner lining reveals a 9 tear toward the neckline but is otherwise tightly stitched and intact. The uniform accompaniment is cleanly signed by Short (d.1991) on the bottom-left portion grading a (9). Also present is a signed Short 8x10 photograph (9) and a single-signed ONL baseball (9, sweet spot, ball 6). This threesome are supreme mementos of this pitcher who had a lengthy career but passed away all too young. These pieces of signed memorabilia come with an auction COA from James Spence Authentications.
