The 1937 “5-Cent” World Series gave the New York Giants another chance to avenge their championship loss from the previous year against their cross-town rivals, the New York Yankees. However, Gehrig and crew mopped up the Giants in five games and made history with their record-setting sixth World Series championship. Presented is a gorgeous twenty-four-page program from this series that sparkles with attractive front and back color covers. Pictures and biographies of Hall of Famers Dickey, Dimaggio, Gehrig, Gomez, Hubbell, Landis, Lazzeri, J. McCarthy, Ott, Ruffing and Terry are all included in the commissioner and team sections of the program. The publication is in great condition and reveals light creasing near the stapling on the page folds. The first page of the Yankee biography section and the Yankee scorecard are detached from the staples. With the exception of the lightly pencil-marked scorecards, the program is blemish-free. This program is an essential opportunity for any Yankee collector seeking a relic rich with Hall of Fame significance.
