The power surge that Ryan Howard has inflicted on the National League East is unprecedented for a player in only his fourth season. The Philadelphia Phillies first baseman has eclipsed the 100 home run mark in fewer games than any player in Major League history, and it appears he is just getting started. The offered 35oz./34-3/4 Marucci RH6 Custom Cut bat is game-used by Howard and has seen extensive use. The black beauty with a cupped end has an approximately 20 crack that starts at the handle and spans the trademark into the lower barrel. The handle is cloth-taped, while moderate evidence of pine tar is found throughout. The knob also reveals paint loss but confirms the owner's identity through Howard's jersey #6. The front and back barrels reveal multiple ball abrasions including with several stitch and cleat markings and other contusions. The slugger also endorsed the barrel in silver sharpie with his signature, which is slightly smeared and grades a (5). As records continue to fall, this piece of game-used memorabilia will continue to appeal to baseball enthusiasts. The autograph comes with an auction COA from James Spence Authentications. This black beauty comes with a full LOA from PSA/DNA and grades a PSA GU7.
