John Peter “Honus” Wagner was a champion in every sense of the word. The congenial Pennsylvanian was beloved by the baseball public and excelled in all aspects of the game. The offered 1910 D322 Tip Top Bread Honus Wagner proudly displays the victorious Hall of Famer as a member of the 1909 World’s Champions Pittsburgh Pirates. This remarkably scarce example is graded a SGC Authentic by the third-party grading service. The gorgeous portrait reveals a slight trim on the right edge and is further detracted by a vertical crease that spans the image of the card. Despite those flaws, this specimen retains stunning visual appeal. A piercing yellow and green backdrop accentuates the portrait that is a contemporary of the million-dollar T206 card. To date, only 18 Wagners from this Ward-Mackey Company release have been graded. This exemplar presents a rare opportunity to secure a genuine Wagner from this pre-war regional issue.
