Even if Lou Gehrig was not a New York Yankee, he would most likely still be considered the greatest first baseman the game has ever seen. Known to baseball fans for his stoic disposition and excellence on the field and at the plate, Gehrig is recognized by the rest of society for the debilitating disease that took his life in 1941. Offered is a sharp cut signature of the “Iron Horse” that has been authenticated and encapsulated by PSA/DNA. The 1-3/4 x 1-1/8” cut signature was scripted in pencil (“6”) and is on lined paper. The signature was cut from a larger sheet of paper and is unaffected along the edges, while the back of the cut is clean.
