Amongst bobbing head enthusiasts the offered pair of 1963-1965 Washington Senators Black Face nodders are some of the most coveted. These Type One and Two “boy mascots” measure approximately 6-1/2” in height and stand on green oval bases. The Type One bobble head features a browless young man as he looks toward the right with a noticeable grin. The stamped city designation is intact, while the uniform sticker reveals moderate chipping on the “A” in Senators. Additionally, a pair of surface markings is barely noticeable on the right stirrup and the back right arm. The Type Two bobbin’ head portrays an unenthused young man as he casts his eyes upwards. Unlike the other figure, this youth has eyebrows and more pronounced facial features. The stamped city designation is light, while the uniform reveals moderate letter smearing. The cap emblem is also faint and chipped, while the remainder of the figure displays additional toning. Despite those flaws, this scarce figure still retains a pleasing aesthetic appeal.
