Although Hopalong Cassidy stories had existed in print since 1904, the clean-cut version played by William Boyd took the character and his western adventures to new heights on the silver screen beginning in 1935. Boyd portrayed the character in (66) films and manufactured a pop culture dynasty that continues to be revered and worshipped by collectors and museums today. Presented is an extremely scarce 1950 Hopalong Cassidy Foil (PSA EX 5) that contains (2) uncut cards from the Dangerous Adventure and Devil’s Playground movies. This relic, which was produced as a part of Boyd’s own high-powered Hopalong Cassidy merchandising company, has been graded accurately as the foil shines with brilliance. According to the PSA population report, this is the only complete foil panel ever graded. For any collector with an interest in essential twentieth-century Americana, this piece is a fantastic choice.
