Clearly and crisply displaying baseball equipment from the 1870-80s such as fingerless gloves and a smaller, black baseball, the presented 6-1/2 x 4-1/4 cabinet photograph proudly boasts a Rome, New York starting nine. Produced by Williamson, the image has impeccable registration as well as gilded edges and gilt text that remains clearly legible. Barring a light wrinkle on the upper right corner and a hint of toning, the cabinet has survived incredibly well and will beautifully adorn any vintage baseball collection. Hailing from the Empire State and but a short trip from the Mecca of baseball, Cooperstown, this impressive cabinet is a constant reminder of how the game has evolved over the generations.
