Offered are yearbooks from the New York Mets first nine seasons (1962 through 1970) that present in (VG-EX to EX) condition. The first few years of the “lovable losers” are all documented in these pieces, along with the “Amazin’ Mets” World Series championship season in 1969. Each program is intact with the original staple binding, and the inner pages are creaseless and clean. Several pieces that contain predominantly white covers show minor to moderate paper aging and foxing around the edges and moderate wear on the binding corners. The 1967 program has some very small pencil writing on the front cover. Pictures and profiles from Hall of Famers such as Yogi Berra, Nolan Ryan, Tom Seaver and Casey Stengel are featured prominently in these publications. For any fan that grew up going to Shea Stadium in the 1960s, this lot is a nostalgic reminder of the turbulent but triumphant first decade of the Mets ballclub.
