Of all the members in the Baseball Hall of Fame, only one man can boast that this was a secondary achievement. Cal Hubbard was one of the first seventeen men elected to the NFL Hall of Fame in 1963. After his football career ended, he became a MLB umpire and for sixteen seasons was noted as one of the best in the business. Hubbard’s election to the hallowed halls of Cooperstown did not come until 1976. The great umpire signed only a few examples of his Hall of Fame plaque postcard before he passed in 1977. Presented is a yellow Hall of Fame plaque postcard signed in light blue marker, grading (“7-8”). The card has been deemed authentic by PSA/DNA and encapsulated (“Authentic Auto”). The postcard itself is in excellent condition with a bright obverse and clean reverse. Hubbard is also a member of the College Football Hall of Fame.
