Hall of Famer Dizzy Dean was adored by fans, not only for his phenomenal pitching ability but also for his charismatic charm and ability to concoct laughter in the public eye. These heartwarming qualities helped transfer his life story to the big screen. Offered is a 27x40 1952 one sheet movie poster from “The Pride of St. Louis” that grades (EX). This scarce, colorful find contains a company embossed stamp that reads Feb 1 – 52. The poster has been folded and shows three even horizontal creases and one vertical crease from top to bottom. The poster body contains several small brown spots and a few small holes, but these blemishes do not take anything major away from the appearance of the print. The top middle edge where the vertical crease ends has been tape repaired, and all edges exhibit some very small tears along the border. The top right and bottom left corners are creased. These grade detractions are normal for a poster of this age, and this item is a great piece that can be framed and hanged.
