By 1950, Bob Lemon had compiled his third twenty-plus win season, leading the American League in wins for the first time during the same year. Presented is a gold and diamond watch that was given to Lemon for his outstanding accomplishments by the Ahepa Cleveland Chapter, a Greek-American fraternal organization. This Longines 14k white gold watch contains (13) small diamonds on the face that total about 1/4- carat, and the reverse is inscribed, Bob Lemon From Order of Ahepa Cleve. Chapter #36 1950. This winding watch appears to be functional, and the glass face is clean and clear. The inside face shows some spotting near the seconds hand, but the embedded diamonds on the number positions are unaffected. The wristband is made of stainless steel, and the entire watch shows minor tarnishing and very slight abrasion that reflects everyday use. This wristwatch is a valuable, attractive piece enhanced by its historical significance and Hall of Fame connection.
