Despite his humble and hard-working demeanor, Eddie Murray was a fierce hitter that could be depended up on in clutch situations and often lived up to the chants of encouraging crowds. Presented is a 1981 Louisville R161 model Eddie Murray bat that has been graded GU 7 by PSA/DNA. This bat has been pinpointed to an order placed on February 23, 1981 from Murray’s professional bat ordering records. The heavy hitter’s bat measures 35 inches, weighs 34 ounces and shows light game use with no cracks. Several ball and stitch impressions are present on the left and back barrel along with cleat marks and red bat rack streaks. The handle maintains a light coat of pine tar. Murray’s jersey number (33) is written on the knob in red marker. This fine piece from Murray’s Hall of Fame career comes with a full LOA from PSA/DNA.
