The “Georgia Peach” reigns on the offered 1910-1911 T3 Turkey Red Cabinets #9 Ty Cobb with the checklist back. This example was submitted to SGC and was returned as “restoration too extensive for authentic holder”. Although this relic is crease free and not trimmed, approximately 25% of the card’s surface is hand-painted to conceal previous damage to the card. The reverse is free of paper loss but reveals a 1-1/2-inch flame marking on the reverse. Despite those technical flaws, this example is a beautiful depiction of the iconic Hall of Famer.
