Hailing from their 1910 and 1911 back-to-back World Series victories, a trio of superb Philadelphia Athletics collectibles is presented in this lot. The most interesting piece may be the 2-1/4 pin-backed button, displaying the faces of the legendary squad on the customary elephant. Twice dated 1911, the pin displays minor crazing and an oxidized reverse, though it remains complete with the original USA flag tassel. This extremely scarce pin is accompanied by a ticket stub from Game 2 of the 1910 World Series-a complete game victory for Coombs. Removed from an album, the dated stub remains attractive with legible text throughout. The final piece of the lot is an original 1910 World Champs team photo with clear shots of Mack, Bender, Baker, Collins and the rest of the gang. Cropped to 6-1/2 x 4-1/2, the photo shows noticeable edge and surface wear and is currently affixed to an 8x6 matting-board. Each closing in on its 100th anniversary, these items will appease the strictest of As collectors.
