Description

Renowned for his impeccable glove work, and hitting the walk-off home run that clinched the 1960 World Series for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Bill Mazeroski was a model of consistency during his playing days, with 8 Gold Gloves and 10 All-Star Game selections to his credit. The "Midsummer Classic" comes into play here, with this Mazeroski signed and inscribed 1959 All-Star Game ticket stub, which shows GD details. Dated 7/7/59, this stub was issued at the Hall of Fame second baseman's home stadium, Forbes Field. Mazeroski notched his first ASG hit in this game, and he cites it proudly on the front of the stub, with an ("8-9") strength blue felt-tip pen autograph, and the inscription "First All Star hit". Full photo LOA from JSA.

Also present is a 2006 Peter David commemorative edition of the 1959 ASG pin (MT).
